Abstract

Beans (Phaseolus sp.) Present great economic and social importance, being one of the most
consumed food. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the growth of white bean plants under
the influence of different levels of biofertilizer. The experiment was conducted in the UEPB
greenhouse, in Lagoa Seca / PB, using a completely randomized design, with six treatments
and six replicates, consisting of six blocks. The biofertilizer, according to the treatments, was
applied in the lap of the plant, every 15 days. Plant height, stem diameter, leaf width and length,
and number of leaves were analyzed. The result of the statistical analysis revealed significant
effect only for leaf width, leaf length and plant height. The increase of biofertilizer doses had
a negative influence on white bean growth. However, plant height reached maximum growth
when 2.5 and 5 ml doses of biofertilizer were applied
