Abstract

The present work aimed at understanding the Orizona Agricultural Family School (GO) - EFAORI, an alternative education experience to the conventional ones, directed to the rural youth. EFAs arose in France in the 1930s and arrived in Brazil in the state of Espírito Santo in the 1960s, allied to the struggle of social movements for land and an equal education of the countryside. Soon the experience spread to all regions of Brazil, in the late 1990s EFAORI was founded, located in the municipality of Orizona (GO) 138 km from Goiânia. The objective of EFAs is to provide conditions for young people to remain dignified in the field. The methodology used is based on the principle that students take turns at weekly scales where they stay for one week in school, boarding school and one week on the property applying the knowledge acquired during the lessons. School / social integration allows the integral formation of young people, taking into account their current reality. The work developed is aimed at soil recovery, with actions taken by young people from the municipalities of the territory enrolled in the 2nd and 3rd year. This mobilization made possible the participation of the youth in actions as a theoretical revision on the use of the green manure where a sketch was also made for the implementation of an experiment of the same. In practical classes it was approached the needs of the soil analysis, where the students obtained activities on soil sampling. The project made possible the implementation of an agro-ecological corridor.
