This work portrays the dynamics of socioagrobiodiversity in urban productive backyards, linked
to agroecological practices. This is an exploratory, quantitative, field research, developed in
the municipality of Colombo/PR, with 18 participants and/or families, through participant observation,
photographic records, structured and semi-structured interviews and characterization
of backyards. There were a total of 181 species belonging to: unconventional food plants,
fruits, condiments, fruits, leaves, tubers and roots, legumes, cereals and flowers. In this way,
productive farms stand out in the diversity of plants, cultivated and spontaneous, native and
exotic, and their multiple uses, in the maintenance of agrobiodiversity and fauna, allowing the
generation of agroecological foods, healthy and of wide quality.
