Abstract

This article aims at presenting the experience of José Alberto Ortiz, social leader and legal
representative of ASOFRUTEROS, who thanks to the project of Nutrition and Vegetal Sanity
in the crops of Valle del Cauca (Case study: Calima, Trujillo and Riofrio), designed and implemented
climatological handcrafted systems to monitor the present environment in the farm
“La Estrella”, located in the municipality of Trujillo. Among the main results, it was possible to
strengthen processes, dynamics and relationships between the farmer and his crops and in
a general view, improve the production. It is evident that the accelerated change in the planet
generates a rupture in the agroecosystems, therefore, dynamics required in order to allow the
adaptation of the food system so that the small farmers are not affected mainly by the irregularity
of the climate, which favors the appearance and proliferation of plagues and diseases.
