Abstract

Sovereignty and food security is one of the pillars for the construction of agroecology in what concerns a development project for the countryside, with respect for social, human and environmental relations. In this sense, the production of organic and agroecological seeds by the women encamped or settled in the South of Minas are of extreme importance to ensure the sovereignty and security of the territory, as well as the maintenance of the socio - genetic biodiversity of the species cultivated in the region. As a result of this technical experience, the follow-up for orientation in the production of organic and agroecological seeds, allowed the deepening of popular knowledge, theoretical and practical in the cultivation, production of various seeds, the processing of by-products in the agroindustrialization of sweets, preserves and sauces, the animals. Strengthening the principles of self-management, cooperativism, which possibly will result in empowerment and financial autonomy for the collective.
