Abstract

Creole seeds are genetic resources of great importance for the conservation of agrobiodiversity, as well as the culture and history of farmers. Studies that contribute to the appreciation and recognition of the quality of these seeds are necessary. In this sense, this work was carried out for the purpose of analyzing the physiological quality of seeds of creole corn and one commercial variety corn from the tests proposed in the  Brasilian Rules for Seed Analysis. With the study it was possible to conclude that the creole seeds studied presented physiological quality equal to or better than the commercial variety seed, thus demonstrating its potential for use and conservation
