Abstract

This report refers to the experience of the Sustainable Quinns Project - Support for Structuring and Sustainable Food Production, developed through the State ATES program of RS. Developed from 2012, the project aimed to benefit families of family farmers of agrarian reform through improved food security and socio-productive inclusion, through the distribution of a productive structuring kit and technical, social and environmental advice. It can be observed that the policy had factors that limited its implementation and development, such as the standardization of the kit items for the different realities of the farmers, the delay in the delivery of the items and the different local articulations and the involvement of the teams. Despite these limits, it is noted that quintals contributed to the improvement of household food security by increasing the production of self-consumption, as well as giving visibility and voice to families that were not included in public policies.
