Product processing workshops (cocoa and Imbé cipó) with the Verdum Community Women’s Collective (Manicoré-AM)

The present work was executed in the Núcleo de Pesquisa e Extensão em Ambiente, Socioeconomia
e Agroecologia (NUPEAS) in 2016, and to present the importance of one of the
actions carried out together with the collective of women in the Verdum community (Manicoré-
-AM), in which concluding the practice of the various activities in this community, NUPEAS
recognized the desires of women, planning to obtain the courses “Nutrition, labeling of cocoa
derivatives”, “Utilization of the lode” Imbé “to make baskets”, and to aggregate value to their
products. However, based on the needs reported by women, regarding the lack of labeling on
the packaging, this action was executed to diminish these difficulties and contribute to improve
the cocoa products, which they manufacture.
