Abstract

Since 2014, the Healthy Food Group (GAS) has been working to bring together professors,
technicians and students from the Federal University of the Southern Frontier (UFFS) Campus
Erechim and family farmers of the Ecoterra Association, linked to the Ecovida Agroecology
Network. During this period, GAS went through two moments, firstly, with the delivery of
agroecological baskets and, currently, with the organization of the fair of direct sales in the
Campus. Although the presence of the farmers in the university has helped in a positive way
the reflections on food, there were no visits to the field and seminars in which the university
community and the farmers could establish exchanges of knowledge, beyond the moments of
commercialization. There is a great demand for healthy food and actions will be needed to increase
sales and consumption. Among them are the construction of commercialization spaces
and the expansion of the participation of family farms in the Campus Restaurant.
