Traceability Index to the Organic Products Arising from Family Agriculture in the Amazonas

Abstract

The traceability is a tool that allows to identify the origin of the product with records of information that it makes possible the control and the monitoring of the productive activities, needed to the quality warranty of the products. This way, this work has as objective to develop a traceability index to the organic products form the family agriculture in the State of Amazonas, from the analyze of indicators created with a participative approach. Being utilized databases to the characterization of the rural properties of the family agriculturists affiliated to the “Associação dos Agricultores Familiares do Alto Urupadí (AAFAU)” (Alto Urupadí’s Family Agriculturists Association). This way, it was elaborated the Traceability Index to the Organic Products – Irast, from 5 indicators and 46 variables. The results indicate that the IRast may guarantee information about the organic products and contribute with the family agriculturists in the planning and improvement of the productive process.
