Abstract

This job presents a brief account of the history of Caldeirão da Santa Cruz do Deserto, its importance and influence for peasant communities, with regard to issues related to solidarity and social organization. The aim is to correlate them with agroecological education practices in conducting good living practices and in the production of food in abundance for legitimate food security. The experiences of interdisciplinary projects that involve the faculty in activities worked with students in the classroom and in the field, covering the disciplines of history, geography, Portuguese, arts, religious teaching and sciences in four schools, belonging to the municipal education network Fundamental II of Crato-CE, it seeks to portray the principles and guidelines of education in agroecology: life, diversity and complexity. The activities developed in the schools of peasant families must seek the understanding of an education in agroecology that, like the community of Caldeirão da Santa Cruz do Deserto, aims at the future of a society that is capable of establishing links of cooperation, marked by the behavior of strong bonds of brotherhood and survival in times of concentration of natural resources and productive means.
