The experiences of Education in Agroecology in Brazil: dialogues from the II National Seminar of Education in Agroecology (II SNEA)

This article aims to reflect on the experiences of Education in Agroecology from the reports
that were presented at the II National Seminar on Education in Agroecology, an event promoted
by the Brazilian Association of Agroecology, that took place in Seropédica / RJ, from
October 25th to 27th, 2016. The contributions presented here are unfolding from the work of
the editorial committee of Cadernos de Agroecologia Magazine, where the experiences of the
II SNEA will be published in July, 2017. From the detailed re-reading of the articles, the experiences
were grouped into three axes, namely: A) state and region where the experience was
or is being developed; B) verify if it is a formal education experience; and C) identify which axes
of the ABA Systematization Matrix each experience dialogues with. The results of this analysis
give an overview of the experiences in Education in Agroecology developed in Brazil.
