Second House: the construction of a proposal for children´s education in agroecology

The process observing describes a pathway that is found in applying the principles and practice
of education and agroecology. Interferences are developed in the village of João Ferreira in
Ribeirópolis, territory in the western region in Sergipe State. A place where has a strong agricultural
tradition with a prominent level of violence and social conflicts. The goals that guide the
actions are: To create a young collective capable of managing how to promote good living and
seeking ways to support processes of learning from the triad guided action: teaching, research
and extension – it was used methodological tools derived from the agroecological approach
that stimulates horizontal dialogues and self-management processes. The most relevant results
were occupying and revitalizing an abandoned space, the endorsement of methodologies
and adjustment tools for formal education.
