This work refers to the process of construction of training alternatives in Agroecology at the
University of San Juan (San Juan, Argentina). Since the year 2014, extracurricular training
spaces have gradually been forming and strengthening, which, on the one hand, have made
the centrality of Agroecology visible in the production, distribution and consumption of goods
and knowledge linked to agriculture; And, on the other hand, offer an alternative of collective
construction of reflections and knowledge around the theme.
The University Volunteer Project “Agroecology from the UNSJ” is currently in its early stages,
in which 17 students from ten university careers participate and are developed jointly with the
IPAF Cuyo and other institutions. It has three main axes: the implementation of a module for
agroecological cultivation, collective training and reflection, and links with organizations and
producers in the Province of San Juan.
