Abstract

The Agroforestry System (AFS) is a model of cultivation that has forms of association with
nature, maintaining agricultural and forestry crops. In the city of Pirenópolis-GO, a collective
organization was created with three properties that produce food based on the AFS’s concepts.
The objective of the report was to systematize the experiences that the organization has
been developing since its implementation. During the 13th and 14th of March 2017, visits were
made in two of the three properties participating in the organization, to collect data through
conversations and questionnaires, to analyze what types of food are produced and how the
organization works. The purpose of the organization is to strengthen the individual works and
the commercialization, maintaining the constancy in the delivery of the products. All the two
producers produce vegetables and fruit trees, but at different times of cultivation. The areas
were highly productive and independent of external inputs.
